popularity of football around the globe

Football/Soccer is the most followed sport around the globe. Till now nobody has gone against it or rated it as a very boring non entertaining sport, it is played anywhere everywhere  i haven't heard about any country around the globe where football isn't given priority. It is enjoyed all around the globe and unlike any other sports like cricket, hockey and others, it isn't limited in some countries, it is played, cheered and appreciated all over the planet. now i don't mean that above mentioned sport/games aren't as good as football but i surely mean that they aren't much challenging football/soccer in terms of popularity and in terms of entertainment. The thing is that i haven't heard about any country around globe that they aren't interested in playing World qualifiers match. People around globe are going crazy in football they have gone pretty forward in terms of football than any other sports.
Looking at history we can have eh hand goal by Marodana against England which lead the to their 1st world cup title. Football would be a rather dull game if everyone on the field of play abided strictly by the rules. And another character will likely to be Mario Balotelli. Mario Balotelli showed why he is one of the best young soccer players in the world at Euro 2012.He scored three goals, and led his underdog Italy team to the final. But more often than not, the 24-year-old is in the news for off-the-field reasons. These anecdotes involve fireworks, dead fish, and stomping on people's heads. He tore off his shirt and stood there perfectly still while flexing after scoring at goal at Euro 2012 (June 2012). He was fined $400,000 for going to a strip club two nights before a game (March 2012.With the likes of the player such as Mario football has touched the height of the interests of each and every individual.
